The experience of the Interreg Projects FUTURE 4.0 and INNOVAMARE

The Blue Economy represents for the Mediterranean regions a great opportunity for industrial development, employability enhancement, scientific international visibility, and economic leadership. The development of a sustainable Blue Economy is essential to meet the European Green Deal goals and guarantee a green and inclusive recovery from the pandemic effects. In this sense, the application of advanced technology solutions, the revision of business models, and the investment in the education and training of new skills and competencies can guide the process toward a competitive dimension and oriented on the sustainability of the Sea.

The projects Interreg FUTURE 4.0 and INNOVAMARE, co-financed by the European Fund for Regional Development, aimed to increase the efficiency of knowledge transfer activities and innovations in the relevant fields of the Blue Economy, by enhancing the cooperation between the enterprises, R&D centers, higher education and the public sector through education and capacity building actions for different
stakeholders.

The event, organized jointly by  Regione del Veneto,Confindustria Veneto SIAV and the Regional Union of the Chambers of Commerce of the Veneto Region, is dedicated to deepening these topics, sharing the experience and outcomes of the projects.
