Tours in the “Andrea Doria” missile launcher destroyer

Il cacciatorpediniere lanciamissili , con un equipaggio di 196 uomini e donne, una lunghezza di oltre 150 metri e un dislocamento a pieno carico superiore alle 7000 tonnellate, è l’espressione di tecnologie di ultima generazione, impianti missilistici e di artiglieria all’avanguardia nonché un fiore all’occhiello dell’industria nazionale. Oltre ad essere specificatamente progettata per la difesa aerea, la nave può svolgere ruoli di comando e controllo anche in situazioni di crisi ed emergenza umanitaria, potendo contare su numerosi apparati di comunicazione tradizionale e satellitare. La nave, inoltre, partecipa ad operazioni di presenza e sorveglianza marittima a tutela degli interessi nazionali.

The Andrea Doria  missile launcher destroyer, with a 196 men and women crew, 150 m long and a weight  of 7000 tons at the full load, is the expression of the last generation’s technology and is the best product of the national industry. Not only projected fot the air defens, the boat can check and control the situation of humanitarian Emergency and crisis, having many traitional and satellite comunication instruments. The boat partecipates to operation of maritime surveillance for the national defence.

The Andrea Doria Boat will berth in Riva dei Sette Martiri and will be visitable in these periods:
– Tuesday 18 June from 10:00 to 12:30 and from 15:00 to 20:00;
– Wednesday 19 June from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 20:00;
– Thursday 20 June from 10:00 to 12:30 and from 15:00 to 18:00
