The 2021 season of Yacht Club Venezia  kicks off on Sunday May 16 with a parallel event “Vela contro vela”.

This is a youth promotion activity with the collaboration of  Compagnia della Vela, Diporto Velico Veneziano, Associazione Velica Lido  and Circolo della Vela Mestre. “A close up of sailing ” is the claim of the event that will involve about twenty baby sailors representing all the sailing schools in the city, ready to challenge each other aboard their Optimists in a double parallel regatta course, with a slalom course that will be set up within the Marina Santelena Venezia. Thanks to the particular structure of the modern Marina, parents will have the opportunity to transform the docks into stands and see their children from close up enjoying themselves among the buoys.

“Vela contro vela” is supported by Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Settentrionale e del Porto di Venezia. The event is made possible thanks to the contribution of APV Investimenti and the Venice Boat Show. Sponsors of the event are  Energia Pura and Acqua Dolomia.
