Venice Boat Show

MUVE Yacht Project

Since the first edition of the Venice Boat Show in 2019, great attention has been devoted to innovative and experimental naval design. The event provides in fact to reserve spaces, within the Arsenale, to be dedicated to professional designers or students, individuals or associates, who can exhibit studies and projects of boats of all types and materials during the days of the Show.   In this regard, an international call has been promoted for the presentation of the most advanced design both for the structure of motor and sailing units and for interior furnishings, components and propulsion, with particular emphasis on environmental sustainability.

The call, edited by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia in collaboration with the Comune di Venezia and Vela Spa, has selected, in its three editions, the following projects exhibited in the Salone section called “MUVE Yacht Projects”:

  • 2019 Call for the selection of studies and projects of boats;
  • 2021 International call for the selection of studies and projects of boats – Sustainable navigation;
  • 2022 International call for the selection of studies and projects of boats – Sustainable navigation;

The 2023 edition is aimed at projects of boats, without size limits, or parts thereof, on the theme: “Innovative solutions for the sustainability and flexibility of use of recreational charter units. Concept for the design and management of the life cycle of rental units, with particular attention to environmental sustainability.”
