Only a few days left before the grand opening of The Venice Boat Show 2021

A great number of exhibitors and a whole area devoted to sailing, plus a focus on Fuill Electric technology. A rich calendar of conferences, sport events and talk shows. And of course, the Prada Cup.

Venice, May 21st 2021. The Arsenale in Venice is almost ready to welcome the Second Edition of the Venice Boat Show, that will see the arrival of more than 220 boats and 160 exhibitors from Saturday 29th of May. “The art of shipbuilding is back home”: a claim that never grows old and that marks a positive step in the rebirth of the lagoon city. Venezia is back to life. Venice Boat Show and the Biennale Architettura 2021 are both finally opening, and that is a signal of rebirth for the whole Country, as suggests the mayor of the city Luigi Brugnaro, who said: “The Venice Boat Show will not only host pleasure boats, but also support the nautical industry as a whole, together with the themes relating to sustainability and design. Venezia shall be the heart and the perfect setting to discuss innovation and enhance our relationship with the Sea”.

Alberto Galassi, CEO of the Ferretti Group strongly believes in Venice and its potentials. “If you look at the exhibition scenario there is no boat show in the whole of the Eastern Mediterranean area, from Lebanon to Venice, across Slovenia, Turkey, Greece. Venice offers a perfect opportunity in terms of venue, location and date, to present one’s creations and innovations to this market. In Arsenale, we will preview our largest yacht, the Ferretti 1000.”.

“I share the same passion as Mr. Galassi for the City”, adds Gianguido Girotti, CEO of Benétéau. “I repeat that Venice is the ideal hub for an international nautical event and for the visibility of the eastern Mediterranean axis, which is not covered much at all. One cannot fail to exploit this synergy between culture and passion for the sea.  A great deal of interest has been generated between the first and the second edition by the entire nautical supply chain, from shipbuilding to technological innovation, but it is likely to expand to other sectors in the future related to services and tourism that will also be showcased in an event like this.”

In the motor boats field, Ferretti 1000 will be the champion, the largest ever built with Ferretti Yachts brand. Thirty meters of high quality. Another thirty meter long boat is the AB 100, by AB Yacht-Dalla Pietà. Azimut Benetti Group presents its newborn Magellano 25. In the sailing boats field, the protagonist will be Mylius 76, devoted to building performance cruises. Among the side events is the first Full Electric Regatta called “E REGATTA“.  Foiling motorboat Candela will have its spotlight because of its innovation in reducing wavy ways, which is a topic dear to Venice. Anvera E-Lab, a full electric offshore boat will try to beat the previous speed record set by full electric boats, 100kmh.

Also sporting events with sailing regattas such as the Italian Match Race Championship and powerboating with the final parade and awards ceremony of the Pavia Venezia raid and the presence of sailing champions from the Moro di Venezia, which will be at the Arsenale to Luna Rossa present with some of its protagonists – Max Sirena, Gillo Nobili and Tommaso Chieffi – to relive their experiences in a talk show named “ Luna Rossa e Il Moro di Venezia, le grandi avventure italiana in Coppa America”.

Then a rich schedule of conferences, such as “Oceani sunt servandi”, “Waterfront”, “Yacht design and sustainability”… and much more.

The Venice Boat Show is promoted by the Municipality of Venice and organized by Vela spa, in collaboration with the Italian Navy (Marina Militare Italiana).

The Venice Boat Show is proud to be working with the following partners for the event Eni, Intesa Sanpaolo, Generali, Consorzio Prosecco DOC and the Chamber of Commerce of Venice and Rovigo. Mole Urbana, E-concept and ABB are the technical partners.
